Firas' spreadable cheeses
Cream cheese, Labneh and Mascarpone
Spreadable cheese is a term that refers to cheeses that are naturally soft or processed to be more spreadable. Spreadable cheeses can be either fresh cheeses, with little to no ripening, or crème de Fromage, a recipe that mellows cheese into a paste. Some examples of spreadable cheeses are cream cheese, Ricotta, Mascarpone, Chevre, Stracciatella, and Labneh. Spreadable cheeses often have a fresh taste and can be combined with other ingredients to add flavors.
My homemade cream cheese
I love incorporating this cream cheese into my baked goods, including both baked and unbaked cheesecakes, as well as a filling cream for cakes when combined with heavy cream or butter. Its slight sourness enriches the cake with depth in taste and flavor.. Customers can also use this cream cheese as a spread on bagels or toast for a savory breakfast option.
